Pet Connect
As the UX Designer for the school project PetConnect, I created a series of web wireframes focused on intuitive navigation and a clear user journey. The designs included key pages like the homepage, About Us, and event listings, all structured to enhance usability. This project showcased my ability to design user-centered experiences and effectively communicate layout and flow through low-fidelity wireframes. This project was used more as an exercise in how important Low fidelity wireframing helps designers ideate quickly in order to get the ball rolling when trying to brainstorm.
This in tandem with the Crazy 8s rapid sketching exercise where designers generate eight distinct ideas in eight minutes, typically by folding a sheet of paper into eight sections and sketching one concept per section. The time constraint and quantity goal are key—this forces you to think beyond their first obvious ideas and explore a broader range of solutions quickly.
Site maps played a key role in organizing the app’s structure and ensuring a logical, user-friendly navigation flow. By mapping out each page and its relationship to others, I was able to identify redundant pathways, streamline the user journey, and prioritize key sections like the Donation and Content pages. This helped create a clear hierarchy, reduced cognitive load, and ensured users could easily find what they needed with minimal effort.
