Fresh Fare Farms

As a UX Designer for a school project with Fresh Fare Farms as the focus, I created a user-centered promotional flyer to simulate a real-world campaign promoting sustainable meal kits. The goal was to design an engaging and accessible layout that clearly communicated the brand’s mission while encouraging user participation. I applied core UX principles such as visual hierarchy, intuitive flow, and emotional appeal through the use of compelling imagery, readable typography, and strategically placed calls to action. The project emphasized community impact by highlighting local sourcing, environmental benefits, and a Hunger Action Month initiative. This school project allowed me to practice designing with purpose and empathy, ultimately strengthening my skills in crafting user-friendly marketing materials.

Creating this social media carousel for Fresh Fare Farms was such a rewarding and fun experience! From playing with vibrant, farm-fresh colors to integrating bold icons and real community imagery, every design decision helped reinforce the brand’s mission: fighting food insecurity through sustainable, local solutions. I especially enjoyed building a visual rhythm using repeating icon patterns and aligning everything with the energy of Hunger Action Month. It was a great opportunity to blend purpose with playful design.

From a UX perspective, I focused on making the carousel not only visually engaging but also intuitive and easy to navigate. I paid close attention to hierarchy, pacing, and clarity—ensuring each slide communicated a key message without overwhelming the viewer. Accessibility also played a role in my design choices, from contrast ratios to font readability. By grounding the visuals in real user needs and behaviors, I was able to create a cohesive and emotionally resonant experience that invites interaction and supports the cause.
