Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, UX Design Focus — SNHU

Pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at Southern New Hampshire University provided me with a strong foundation in visual communication, digital design principles, and creative problem-solving. Through a combination of hands-on coursework and real-world projects, I gained proficiency in essential design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, while developing a critical eye for typography, color theory, layout, and branding.

My concentration in User Experience (UX) Design allowed me to explore the intersection of aesthetics and functionality. I studied user-centered design methodologies, usability testing, wireframing, prototyping, and responsive design. The curriculum emphasized both analytical thinking and empathy, which helped me build digital experiences that are not only visually engaging but also intuitive and accessible.

Throughout the program, I worked on client-based assignments, case studies, and collaborative projects that simulated industry practices. I also received constructive critique and mentorship that sharpened my design thinking and iterative process. SNHU’s flexible, career-focused learning environment empowered me to balance creativity with strategy, preparing me to contribute effectively to cross-functional teams in real-world design settings.

Google UX Design — Google Coursera

Pursuing the Google UX Design Certificate was a valuable step in building a strong foundation in user-centered design. Through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, I learned essential UX skills like user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. The course emphasized empathy, accessibility, and iterative problem-solving—key principles that now guide my design process. It also gave me the confidence to tackle end-to-end design challenges and create meaningful, functional experiences for users.

I am on course to complete the course and earn my certification by June 2025!
